Vegan Nacho Chez Dip
This uses cheddar flavored Daiya (which is the best fake cheese I've had) It isn't the mexican restaurant stuff, this is the movie theatre/county fair nacho goodness.
1 tsp Oil (olive / canola)
1/2 cup milk substitute (I prefer oat milk)
1/2 cup Daiya Cheddar shreds
1 Tbls vegan sour cream substitute
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chipotle / smoked paprika / cumin
dash cayanne
1 tsp arrowroot / cornstarch / flour
1/2 jalapeno pepper - deseeded and minced
mix oil, milk sub, daiya, sour cream, and spices in small sauce pan. melt over low to medium low heat until smooth, stirring frequently. best to start with low heat then increment until melting point. stir in starch. stir in jalapeno. devour with chips or steamed tortillas.
